Your zodiac sign has a time. So does your Chinese animal.

Zodiac signs do not change at midnight, but to the minute. The real transition days 1950–2026, Li Chun instead of 4 February – and an honest outlook for 2027.

A noon that changes everything Imagine someone born in Bern on 21 June 1991 at 12:00 noon . Practically every table on the internet says: Cancer. Cancer begins on 21 June. That is not true. This person is a Gemini . Because on that day the sun reached the point where Cancer begins only at 23:18 Swiss time – eleven hours after birth. Anyone born at noon has the sun at 89.5 degrees above them. Cancer begins at 90. Half a degree. Eleven hours. A different zodiac sign. And that is exactly why we rebuilt our app. Why a date is not enough The zodiac sign is not a calendar date. It is an angle. The zodiac divides the sun's path into twelve equal sections of 30 degrees each. Aries begins exactly where the sun stands at the start of spring. After that it moves on – roughly one degree per day – and enters the next sign every 30 degrees. But the Earth does not take 365 days for one orbit around the sun, but about 365 days and 6 hours. That is why every transition shifts by around six hours year after year – until the leap year pulls it back. The result: The same zodiac boundary falls on different days depending on the year. The real transition days, 1950 to 2026 We calculated all twelve sign transitions for 77 years – in Swiss time, including daylight saving time. This is what came out: Sign Transition falls on Distribution over 77 years Aries 20–21 March 20th: 53× · 21st: 24× Taurus 19–20 April 19th: 17× · 20th: 60× Gemini 20–21 May 20th: 18× · 21st: 59× Cancer 20–22 June 20th: 2× · 21st: 64× · 22nd: 11× Leo 22–23 July 22nd: 34× · 23rd: 43× Virgo 22–24 August 22nd: 12× · 23rd: 64× · 24th: 1× Libra 22–23 September 22nd: 19× · 23rd: 58× Scorpio 23–24 October 23rd: 67× · 24th: 10× Sagittarius 21–23 November 21st: 5× · 22nd: 66× · 23rd: 6× Capricorn 21–22 December 21st: 35× · 22nd: 42× Aquarius 19–21 January 19th: 5× · 20th: 66× · 21st: 6× Pisces 18–19 February 18th: 31× · 19th: 46× Read the Cancer row again. Cancer began in these 77 years twice on 20 June, 64 times on the 21st and eleven times on the 22nd. A table that claims «21 June» is already wrong on the date in 13 of 77 years – and on all other boundary days additionally on the time. Anyone born on one of these days does not need a table. They need a calculation. That is exactly what our app does since the rebuild: It does not look up your sign, it calculates the sun's position for your birth minute . Two fields, one result – and on boundary days additionally the exact transition time so you can verify it yourself. → Calculate your exact zodiac sign https://lottoprognose.ch/auth?tab=register And now the unpleasant part: We got it wrong too We could stop here and be satisfied. We won't. Until recently, our app also calculated with a table. With a good one, but a table nonetheless. When we checked it against the actual sun position, it turned out: Between 1900 and 2026 it showed a different sign than the real sky on 777 days . On 207 of these days it was even wrong all day – even the exact birth time could not help there. These are not pretty numbers. We write them down anyway, because a correction that is kept quiet is not a correction, but an update. Since the rebuild, the app calculates the sun position to the minute instead of looking it up. Anyone affected now sees a different sign than before. That is not a bug of the new version – it is the fix of an old one. Anyone with an account does not need to do anything. The corrected sign appears at the next login in the «Personal» tab, together with the Chinese animal and the matching element. The Chinese animal does not begin on 4 February The same misunderstanding, second act. Almost everywhere on the web it says the Chinese zodiac year begins on 4 February. Some sites instead name the Chinese New Year festival, which jumps between January and February. Neither is correct. The decisive factor is Li Chun 立春 , the beginning of spring in the Chinese solar calendar. It lies where the sun reaches 315 degrees – again an angle, again to the minute. And this point moves: Year Li Chun Swiss time 2024 4 February, morning 2025 3 February, afternoon 2026 3 February, evening 2027 4 February, night 2028 4 February, morning 2029 3 February, afternoon For 2026 this means concretely: Anyone born on 3 February 2026 before 21:02 belongs to the Wood Snake . Anyone born after that is a Fire Horse. Two children, the same day, the same hospital – and two different animals. With a table you never see that. The ascendant: the number where every minute really counts So far it was about days and individual boundary hours. Now comes the part where precision really hurts. The zodiac sign says where the sun stood. The ascendant says which point of the zodiac was rising on the eastern horizon at the moment of birth. The sun moves about one degree per day. The horizon rotates with the Earth – and thus once per day through all twelve signs. What that means is shown by our example from above. 21 June 1991, 12:00 noon, Bern: Ascendant Virgo, 12.6 degrees. And now the same day, the same place, just a little later: Birth time Ascendant 12:00 Virgo 12.6° 12:10 Virgo 14.4° 13:00 Virgo 23.7° 13:33 Transition to Libra 14:00 Libra 4.9° The ascendant moves forward on this day by about 0.19 degrees per minute . Ten minutes of uncertainty in the birth time are almost two degrees. One and a half hours are a different sign. So anyone who says «I was born sometime in the afternoon» is usually lucky with the zodiac sign – and has no chance with the ascendant. And without a birthplace, nothing works Now comes the point that most horoscope sites silently skip. The ascendant depends not only on the minute, but on the geographic latitude and longitude . The same second, four different places: Birthplace Ascendant at the same second Bern Virgo 12.6° Lugano Virgo 13.5° Helsinki Virgo 26.3° Nairobi Libra 6.5° Same moment, different sign. Without a birthplace, an ascendant is simply not calculable. That is why our app currently deliberately does not show an ascendant. Zodiac sign and Chinese animal can be determined from date and time. The ascendant cannot – for that we would need your birth coordinates. We would rather leave out a feature than show a number based on a silent assumption. A side finding that surprised even us The signs do not rise at the same speed. At Bern's latitude in June Aries takes about 61 minutes to rise, Leo takes about 162 minutes . A Leo ascendant is therefore about two and a half times more common in Switzerland than an Aries ascendant – purely geometrically, without any interpretation. The further north, the more extreme this difference becomes. «When should I play then?» That is the question we receive most often on this topic. Here is the honest answer in two parts. What tradition says: Electional astrology – classically «electional astrology» – seeks an favourable moment for a venture. It looks among other things at the sign currently rising, the position of the moon and the so called Jupiter hour. Anyone who finds structure and anticipation in this – no one takes that away from them. It is a thousands of years old symbolic language, not superstition in the derogatory sense. What we have to say about it: None of these moments changes the draw. In our app, moon phase, Jupiter hour and retrogrades award exclusively confidence points – they do not influence a single ball. There is no time at which a tip wins better. What there is, is a time by which you must have played at the latest : the cut off time. That is the only time that demonstrably decides your chance – because without a tip the chance is zero. «Zodiac sign» is not «constellation» Every few years the headline circulates: NASA has discovered a 13th zodiac sign It hasn't. It explained something, and it was misunderstood. Constellations are areas in the sky. They are of different sizes, and the sun passes through thirteen of them in the course of a year – including Ophiuchus. Zodiac signs are something else: twelve equal sections of 30 degrees, counted from the vernal equinox. They are a coordinate system, not a map of the stars. The fact that both coincided around two thousand years ago and are now apart is known – it is called precession. Western astrology nevertheless has always calculated with the vernal equinox. So there is no 13th sign, because there never were thirteen sections. Anyone who knows this no longer falls for the headline. What the sky has planned until the end of 2027 An outlook – and cleanly separated into two parts. What happens is astronomy and verifiable. What it means is interpretation and remains symbolism. The rest of 2026 The great solar eclipse of this year is already behind us: On 12 August 2026 an exceptionally high degree of coverage was visible in Switzerland – the strongest partial eclipse in this country for a long time. The remaining weeks bring no further sign change of the slow planets. In astrological terms, this is a setting phase : The great constellations that newly formed in 2026 remain in place. The stage on which 2027 plays Four slow planets took their places in 2026 and keep them: Planet Sign Since Saturn Aries 14 February 2026 Neptune Aries 26 January 2026 Uranus Gemini 26 April 2026 Pluto Aquarius since 2024, until the 2040s In 2027 not a single one of these four changes sign. Only Jupiter moves on – on 26 July 2027 from Leo into Virgo. In the astrological reading, such a year counts as a year of deepening : no new themes, but work on those begun. Whether one believes that is left to each individual. That no sign change takes place, on the other hand, is simply orbital mechanics. The event of the year: 2 August 2027 And then there is this one day. On 2 August 2027 the longest total solar eclipse over land since 1991 takes place. Near Luxor in Egypt, totality lasts 6 minutes and 23 seconds. A longer one will not occur until 2114 – in 87 years. The shadow moves over southern Spain, North Africa, Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula. In Switzerland and Central Europe it is partially visible – for comparison: in Paris about 52 percent of the sun is covered, in Berlin about 34. Astrologically it falls at about 10 degrees Leo. Eclipses are considered turning points in this tradition. Astronomically they are the moon's shadow – exactly predictable for centuries. In addition, 2027 brings an annular solar eclipse on 6 February as well as three penumbral lunar eclipses in February, July and August. These dates are fixed. Anyone who reads them as meaning does so voluntarily. Anyone who reads them as a travel calendar is also right. And what about numbers? Now the question that actually everyone asks us: Can numbers be derived from all this? The honest answer has two parts. Part one: What is actually calculable. Your zodiac sign, your Chinese animal, your elements, the moon phase on a date, the position of a planet in a thousand years. All of this is celestial mechanics and can be determined to the minute. That is why we rebuilt it: If you are already calculating something, you should calculate it correctly. Part two: What numbers make of it. The assignment «Leo belongs to 5» or «Fire belongs to 3» comes from traditions – Western numerology, Chinese element theory, centuries old assignments. They have grown culturally, not derived astronomically. There is no physical connection between a planetary position and a drawn lottery ball. That is why our app also clearly states how the whole thing is weighted: Personal numbers flow into a forecast as a bonus . Moon phase, Jupiter hour and retrogrades award exclusively confidence points – they do not change a single ball. The biorhythm provides no numbers at all. And the oracle only works with Premium and only 1.3 fold . What the app concretely makes of it Personal lucky numbers from zodiac sign, Chinese animal, life number and Kua number – as a bonus in your forecast, not as a promise. Eight mathematical methods that you can calculate individually or mixed. Which of them has been closest to the real draws so far is shown openly in the method ranking. A plain text explanation of why which number appears in your forecast. No black box. The playbook that manages your actual tickets and calculates the honest balance – even if it is in the red. The account for this is free, and to start you need neither a subscription nor a credit card. None of these functions changes your chance of winning. It is 1 : 31'474'716 per tip on the jackpot – yesterday, today and on 2 August 2027. The litmus test: 47 draws There is currently a nice example of how quickly we humans think in patterns. As of today we are waiting for the 47th attempt without anyone having cracked the jackpot. Forty seven draws in a row. It feels as if something must finally happen now. Nothing has to happen at all. Every draw knows nothing of the draw before it. The series is impressive, documented and completely without consequence for the next draw. Just as a zodiac sign is impressive, calculable and without consequence for the balls. That is our attitude in one sentence: We calculate everything as precisely as possible – and at the same time tell you what this precision cannot achieve. Astrology is not a science. There is no proof that planetary positions cause events on Earth. What there is, is a thousands of years old symbolic language that gives many people joy, provides structure and opens a conversation. That is reason enough to calculate it cleanly. It is no reason to promise more. In three steps to your exact sign 1. Enter date and time of birth. In the «Personal» tab – here you go directly there https://lottoprognose.ch/auth?tab=register . The minute counts, especially on boundary days. 2. Check the result. The app shows your zodiac sign, your Chinese animal and the associated element. If your birthday falls on a boundary day, you additionally see the exact transition time. 3. Compare. Does the result differ from what you have heard your whole life? Then the sun actually stood differently at your birth than the table claimed. Four questions that reach us about this «I always stood on the other side of the boundary. What applies now?» What applies by calculation is the actual sun position. What applies by feeling is what you identify with – and no one takes that away from you. Astrology is not an official register entry. «Why does another app show a different animal?» Almost always because it takes 4 February or the Chinese New Year festival as the start of the year instead of Li Chun. On most birthdays this is not noticeable. On the first days of February it is. «Why don't you show an ascendant?» Because we do not know your birthplace. Without latitude and longitude an ascendant is not calculable, and a guessed number would be worse than none. As soon as the location selection is ready, it will be added. «I was not born in Switzerland – is the result still correct?» Here we must be honest: The app currently interprets your birth time as Swiss time . Anyone born in another time zone should best convert the time to Swiss time themselves and enter that. On boundary days this makes the difference. A direct country selection is in progress. Why we go to this effort It would have been easier to keep the table. Almost no one would have noticed either. But if we tell you the uncomfortable truth about the chances of winning, then we also tell it about the zodiac sign. And if we are already calculating, then correctly – even where the result ultimately remains symbolism. Precision where it is possible. Honesty where it ends. If you want to know what actually stood in the sky at your birth minute – it takes two minutes and costs nothing.
